Is it necessary to attach a photo to my matrimonial profile? How can I attach a photo to my profile?

Adding a photo to your matrimonial profile increases the number of times your profile is viewed by upto 7 times. You are likely to receive 12 times as many responses if you attach a photo. The most viewed profiles are those that have a photo. So we recommend you to upload your photo to increase your chances of finding your soul mate quickly. you can be ranked high in search results. You can get featured member position, by uploading your photograph. To upload your photo do the following steps:

• Login to your Indiavivah Account.
• Click on Upload Photo in My Profile Section available on left Navigation Menu.
• Click the 'Browse' button and select the digital photo (in JPG /GIF format) you wish to add to your profile.
• You can upload more than one photo then select the photo you wish to be your main photo, and Click the button "Set as main Photo".

Does the Photo Upload Feature give me any flexibility?

Yes, you can upload up to 3 photographs and create your own personalized photo album. However do make sure that your face is clearly visible in your main photo. You can choose any one to be your main photo at a time and can change your main photo at anytime.

Are there any do’s & don’ts while uploading my photograph?

• The image file should be in JPG or GIF Format.
• The size of each photograph must not exceed 1 MB.
• Do not post copyrighted images.

Is there Some advice/ tips to make my photograph look better.

• Select a photograph that is bright and colourful. Photographs in general tend to become darker when seen on the computer which is why night time photographs don't show up as well. Select a photograph that is preferably taken outdoors, in the natural light. Also, if possible select a close up or full view snap. Try not to choose a group photograph where you are only a small part of the whole photo!
• Choose photographs where you are the focus of attention and not the scenery surrounding you.
• Once you have selected and scanned your photograph you can further enhance it using image enhancing softwares like Adobe PhotoShop or Corel Photopaint. Ask someone trained professional in this field to give you better results.
• Save your enhanced matrimonial photograph as a .jpg or .gif file.

I got an error while uploading my photo. What could be the reason?

One of the reasons for the error might be that you did not select the jpg or gif option. You must choose the correct option. Your photo file must be in either jpg or gif format. Indiavivah.com does not support other file formats.

Can I choose which photo should be displayed as the Main Photo in my profile?

Yes, you can select any photo from your uploaded photo as your main photo on your upload photo page, by selecting the photo and click 'Set as main photo'. Indiavivah.com permits 3 photos to be uploaded you can change your main photo any time on upload photo page by clicking the link "upload photo" under "My Profile" section on left Navigation Menu on any page after login.

I have a general, non - digital photograph of myself. Can I still add it to my Profile on indiavivah.com?

If you do not have a digital photo copy then do send us your photograph at the address given below. We will scan, enhance, optimize and upload and attach it to your profile. This service is absolutely FREE. Please provide VivahId, Name, EmailId and Signature written behind the photograph. we will upload your photograph within 48 hours, after receiving. I am encountering problems in adding my digital photo to my profile. What should I do?

Please send your photo as an E-mail attachment to info@indiavivah.com in jpg / gif format, along with your VivahId. Please mention which photo should be added as your main photo. We will add the photo to your profile and send you the confirmation.

What is the maximum photo file size permitted for each photo being uploaded?

The maximum photo file size that can be uploaded on indiavivah.com is: 1 MB.
